LEARN ABOUT DATA LITERACY
This page offers a series of professional learning modules where teachers can learn about teaching data literacy in social studies. All the modules are self-paced and consist of a combination of videos, articles, and assessments. We recommend moving through the modules in order, but you can start anywhere, depending on your needs.
If you are an individual teacher who would like to use these modules on your own, you can simply request to join. Note that we will not provide assessment feedback for individuals who join the program.
Teacher leaders, school administrators, social studies coordinators, or university-based teacher educators who are interested in using the modules for professional development should reach out to us about the possibility of instructor privileges and continuing education hours.

Before you begin these learning modules, watch this video to learn about how we define data literacy. You can also read about our definition of data literacy by clicking on the "Read more here" link.
