ArcGIS StoryMaps

ArcGIS StoryMaps

ArcGIS StoryMaps, by Esri, is a web-based platform for creating interactive, multimedia spatial narratives that blend maps, texts, images, videos, and data into engaging digital stories. You can access a basic version of ArcGIS StoryMaps for free, but students will need to create an account or use a Google account. Students can use the tool to showcase their research, highlight significant events, tell stories about change over time, and share the information they have learned with others. The site's gallery also includes a number of social studies-related StoryMaps that are useful for students to explore and provide good examples of completed projects. We have created minimal manual to help students create a StoryMap on significant battles of WWI. As is stated in the manual, we recommend teachers ask students to prepare content to enter into their StoryMap before they begin using the tool.
