This graph was created by Henry Gannett in 1890. The source can be found in the Statistical atlas of the United States, based upon the results of the eleventh census. This bar graph depicts the number of foreign-born citizens in each state and territory. We can see the foreign-born population is at its highest in New York whereas the southern states have very few of this population.
