Charles Blaskowitz, A Topographical Chart of the Bay of Narraganset in the Province of New England (1777)

Created by British engineer, Charles Blaskowitz, this map of Narraganset Bay was one of the most comprehensive and topographically detailed British maps of the war. It was used by British forces during the Battle of Rhode Island on August 29, 1778. The first layer of this map was created in 1764 as a part of a British surveying project. The second layer was completed in 1774 when Blaskowitz returned to add more information to the map, including roads and farms.  There is also a paragraph elaborating on the climate of the region and some topographic features.
