They are also an excellent tool for teaching students critical data literacy skills. Critical data literacy goes beyond basic competencies like comprehending and analyzing data and data visualizations; it includes recognizing data as a currency of power, interrogating and evaluating data and data sources, and considering the ethical issues surrounding the collection and uses of data.
